*********************IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT ************************** The ESRC Centre for Neighbourhood Research (CNR) was established in 2001 as part of the ESRC Evidence Network. It involved a close collaboration between research teams in the School for Policy Studies at the University of Bristol and the Department of Urban Studies at the University of Glasgow. An international network of specialists in the USA, East Asia, Europe, Australasia and elsewhere in the UK also contributed to the activities and outputs of the Centre. The ESRC (Economic and Social Research Council) provided funding for the core research resource for four years. This funding has now come to an end and the dedicated website, neighbourhood question bank and CNR working paper series will not be updated from 31st July 2006. In future, further research outputs and activities on neighbourhood and related themes will be announced on the Glasgow and Bristol departmental websites
